Sweet Nothing

Stop holding on to what hurts and make room for what feels good

Giving Up

Don’t jump to conclusions here, I’m not giving up on life or love or on my list (which i seem to be doing well at crossing things off of), I’m giving up Candy and white wine for the next 40 days. I don’t consider myself an overly religious person. I do go to church here and there but I’m not going to push my religion on you. I do though love a good challenge. Last year I gave up French Fries but since I already did that last month I decided to give myself more of a challenge. Lets hope I can fight the temptation!

Adjustments are Natural

So I went back in and changed some of my original goals for 1001. I realized that some of them were un-realistic and or I really don’t have enough time or money to do what I was hoping to do in 2.75 years. Right now I’m on a cleanse for at least 5 days. It’s day 3 and I dont want to kill myself or anyone else, so I think its going good. I feel better and I’m not as tired as I thought I was going to be. I dont find that I have cheated the list in any kind of way, because really I would only be cheating myself. With that said, adjustment is natural isn’t it?

#51- Temptation at it’s Worst

So like most probably do when attempting the 1001 challenge, you want to just start every single goal. Having fear that you wont be able to accomplish everything that you have written down in the allotted time. I almost went that route and then realized that I need to really focus on one thing at a time and make sure that I stick to exactly what I say I’m going to do. With that said I started off with something that I know I can do and something that is also a challenge for me #51. I dropped eating french fries for a month. Now this may not sound like something huge to some people but for those of you who have the same craving for them that I do, it’s NOT an easy task. I figure that if I can give up something that I LOVE to eat, this will help me be able to knock other numbers off of my list that are easier. I’m 9 days into no fries and I only find it difficult when I am eating with someone who orders them, HOW RUDE. I keep telling myself it will make me a better person! Lets hope I can stand the temptation!

About Me

Im a 25 year old, small town girl. Trying to find my way. Im new to blogging and I’m trying to figure all of this out, my life included. I’ve loved and I’ve lost and I’m going to focus on me and what I wan’t for the first time in a long time. I posted my 101 in 1001 and hope that, that will help me move on and make new experiences and help me feel good. I’m not trying to offend anyone with what I say just putting it all out there. Enjoy.

The 101 in 1001 Challenge

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year’s resolutions or a ‘Bucket List’. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
